My first time camping and I wasn't disappointed! Staff at the site were very friendly and helpful, the site itself was picturesque beautiful views and was lovely waking up on a Morning to see the sheep out on the hills! Definitely wanting …
Positives- Quiter than some other campsites, showers available, adequate parking, laundry facilities.
Negatives- not enough showers, laundry facility is overpriced compared to other campsites.
I would stay here again though purely because of the location and the fact that it is a quiet site. The staff are pleasant and welcoming.
Great camping site with everything you need in regards to toilets, showers and some dish washing options.
15 min by feet to a nice corner of the Loch Ness and only 10 min by feet to the next supermarket.
Lovely hostess with a beautiful dog :)
We will definitely come around again!
Perfect for an overnight in the motor home. Large pitches which are relatively flat. Lovely feel to the place and the location is perfect if you want to do the Loch Ness centre and Uraquart Castle.
The toilets are clean and functional.
The nearby road didn’t cause me any concerns.
If you are in to MTB have a look on trail forks for a couple of excellent black runs with relatively easy fire road climbs and views to die for.
Our first trip to Scotland and we were not disappointed. Being new to camping we were not sure what to expect 🤔 arriving at Loch ness bay camping put us at ease straight away. We had a large spacious pitche on hard standing and grass behind where we pitched our tent. Lovely clean facilities and even a set out dog walking area 😀. A short walk across the road through a field and we were at the shores of the Loch. We highly recommend this camping site and cannot wait to return.
Brilliant location! The staff were very kind. Happy for us to charge our devices in their office rather then paying for a tent pitch with electricity. Clean facilities and a very well kept campsite
Nice camping location. Right next to the road so a little noisy sometimes. Pitch was ok. Level and allowed us to set up the way we wanted. Plenty of washing up areas and lots of hot water. I hate the push button showers. I especially hated these ones. A few seconds between pushes. It’s sort of unacceptable. Whilst clean. I fail to see how this saves water or money. The ladies. Only one out of 3 cubicles was useable. One.without paper. The other out of order. Queues for the 3rd. So nice site but it has its Annoyances. Nearby lots of takeouts and places to eat which is a bonus as the weather turns colder.
Overpriced for a a large field on a busy road , ( road noise wasnt too bad overnight) .No real interaction with staff ( only saw 1) as pitches allocated on white board. Pitches flat with gravel & grass some have water . Facilities in portacabin , clean but shower were cold . Not on the shores of Loch a 20 minute walk across road through fields to a small rocky area & jetty .30 minutes into Village ( busy , gift shops & a few cafes ) . Although I like a quiet site it was just missing something, felt more like an aire .
